2. TRANSACTION SECURITY
🔒 HTTPS / TLS protocol
The entire www.rythmesroots.com website is protected by the HTTPS protocol with TLS (Transport Layer Security) encryption. All data exchanged between your browser and our servers is encrypted and cannot be intercepted by any third party.

🔐 3D Secure authentication
Card payments benefit from the 3D Secure protocol (Verified by Visa / Mastercard Identity Check). This additional authentication layer asks you to verify your identity at the time of payment, via:
- A one-time code sent by SMS
- Approval through your bank's mobile app
- A personal code pre-arranged with your bank
3. PROTECTION OF YOUR BANKING DATA
3.1 No storage of banking data
Rhythms & Roots never stores your banking details. Card numbers, expiry dates and security codes (CVV/CVC) pass exclusively through the secure servers of our PCI-DSS certified providers, without ever reaching our own servers.
3.2 Tokenisation
Our providers use tokenisation: your card data is replaced by a unique identifier (token) that allows the transaction to be processed without exposing your actual banking information.
3.3 GDPR compliance
The processing of payment-related data is carried out in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Only data strictly necessary for the transaction is collected. For more information, please consult our Privacy Policy.
4. PAYMENT PROCESS
4.1 Order steps

4.2 Order confirmation
Once your payment is validated, you will receive a confirmation email summarising your order details, the amount charged and the estimated delivery times. If no email arrives within 30 minutes, please check your spam folder or contact us.
4.3 Payment failure
In the event of a failure, the order is not confirmed and no amount is charged. Possible causes:
- Incorrect card details
- Online payment limit reached
- Card not enabled for remote payments
- Refusal by the issuing bank
- Failed 3D Secure authentication

5. CURRENCY AND INVOICING
5.1 Currency
All prices are displayed and invoiced in euros (EUR), inclusive of all taxes (VAT included). If your card is denominated in another currency, your bank will apply its own exchange rate in force on the day of the transaction. Conversion fees may apply depending on your bank.
5.2 VAT
Luxembourg VAT is included in the displayed prices. For orders delivered to another EU country, the applicable VAT rate may vary under the OSS (One Stop Shop) regulations in force. The exact amount is always shown in the order summary before confirmation. For deliveries outside the EU, the sale is exempt from Luxembourg VAT; local customs duties may apply in the destination country.
5.3 Invoice
An electronic invoice is automatically generated and sent by email after each order. It is also available in your customer account, under "My orders". A paper invoice can be requested at contact@rythmesroots.com.
6. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is my payment really secure?
Yes. All transactions are encrypted via TLS, processed by PCI-DSS certified providers and protected by 3D Secure. Rhythms & Roots never sees or stores your full banking details.
Why was my payment declined even though my card is valid?
Several reasons are possible: online payment limit reached, card not enabled for remote purchases, or 3D Secure authentication not completed. Contact your bank to check these settings. You can also try paying via PayPal.
Can I pay with PayPal without a PayPal account?
Yes. PayPal offers a "Pay as guest" option that allows you to use your Visa or Mastercard directly without creating an account.
When is my card charged?
Your card is charged immediately when your order is confirmed, after payment authorisation by your bank.
How will I be refunded if I exercise my right of withdrawal?
Refunds are issued via the same payment method used for the original order, within 14 days of receipt of the returned products. For PayPal payments, the refund is credited to your PayPal account. For card payments, it will appear on your statement within 3 to 5 working days depending on your bank.
Are my banking details saved for future orders?
No. Rhythms & Roots does not retain any banking data. If your payment provider offers a card-saving option to make future purchases easier, this feature is managed exclusively within their secure environment.
What should I do if I notice a suspicious charge on my account?
Contact your bank immediately to report the transaction and request a block if necessary. Also write to us at contact@rythmesroots.com, quoting the amount, the date and your order number.
Do you offer instalment payments?
No, instalment payments are not currently available. All orders are paid in full at the time of confirmation.
