Cacho Seed Pod Ankle Band

This ankle band pairs natural seed pods with a flexible wooden band to create a percussion instrument worn on the body. The seed pods produce a warm, bright sound that shifts in character depending on the intensity of movement — from a gentle, scattered shimmer to a full, rushing cascade.

Construction and Sound

Cacho seed pods are tied to an elastic wooden band that wraps around the ankle. The flexible construction allows the pods to move freely with each step, shake or deliberate gesture. The natural material of the pods creates a distinctive sonic quality: bright and rain-like, with a natural decay that gives the sound a soft, organic edge.
